Our History

Our History

HALO Recognition, originally founded in 1935 in New York City as Michael C. Fina by the Fina family’s namesake, began as a luxury retailer specializing in fine silver merchandise on Fifth Avenue. As the business expanded to include jewelry and unique gifts, so did the personal relationships we developed with our customers. Soon neighboring businesses began to rely on our retail expertise and personal service to help them select corporate service awards for their employees.

In 1965 we signed our first service award contract and in 1970 we opened a facility solely dedicated to supporting reward and recognition programs, the Corporate Sales division. Over the next forty five years, we became Michael C. Fina Recognition, a leader in the recognition industry with our time-tested honesty, compassion, and personal service to every partnership.

In 2017 Michael C. Fina Recognition was acquired by HALO Branded Solutions, a leading national promotional products distributor , creating HALO Recognition, the most comprehensive employee recognition provider in the market. Today HALO Recognition helps companies of all sizes worldwide reward, recognize, and inspire their employees to do great things with scalable recognition and incentive programs designed for modern workforces.
